Analog times!
Gah! Technology... it’s incredible how much we rely on it, and how much it can mess with your day when it goes wrong.
This week I’ve had some pretty far reaching technological issues (as far as my pocket - my phone crapped out, taking my emails with it...), which meant I was out of action for quite a few days - and am still not quite back on board.
And I’ll tell you something, I found myself completely out of sorts because of it.
But why?
There was a time, not actually that long ago, when we didn’t have a very small computer in our pockets at all times - and we were completely fine 🤷🏻♀️
We talked to each other, read books, got outside and ran around a bit... we looked up outside our tiny screens and saw things right out in the distance!
When I realized with alarm just how upset I found myself because of *such* a simple issue, I realized it was actually time for me to stop and take a proper look beyond my frustrations... And life’s actually pretty sweet outside of that little loud screen - the fire’s lit, the house is warm, the dishes are even done!!
I’m safe and happy in my world - I’m warm and comfy and cozy and snug.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m very, very much looking forward to finally being reconnected with m’phone.... Very much. But in the meantime, I’m going to enjoy the space not having it constantly attached to my hands has temporarily given me.
I’m going to breathe a wee bit.
And if you’ll excuse me, I think it’s time to head to the surprisingly clean kitchen and pop the kettle on...
