Time to chill the wine
How’re you holding up being set relatively free in the big, wide world for the first time in weeks?
Bit weird, right??
We did it, guys - we made it to Level 2. And we did it as a team 🙏
Life is looking just a little more colourful as the leaves turn and drop and we get to walk around in the crisp, wintry air. I know I’ve been taking big, deep breaths, feeling the sun warm on my face, and reflecting on the trip we all took from Level 4 through to right now.
It feels like a new start.
A new chance for a potentially new way of life... so many things have changed in such a short space of time; we’ve been shown that only the essential is essential, and big business is not infallible.
We’re all looking at things through slightly different lenses and we’ve worked together for the same, awesome cause! Working and simply being together is such an important part of being human because we’re fundamentally a social folk. That’s made this time in isolation really hard.
But thanks to the shift to Level 2 (woohoo!) we’ve got the chance to reconnect with people we love, and have missed heaps. We get to rock the very natural thing of people coming together in the most simple of ways... and in this house, we’re definitely getting on that train. Stat.
For the first time in many, many weeks we have our very good friends coming over for dinner tonight, and I’m really excited! Like, super excited!
I think this is a big take-away for me from our time in isolation: the recognition of how cool it is to really *be* with our close friends. How amazing our friends are!
I reckon we’ve all had a bit of a boot up the bum to remember how much we need proper connection between folk - being with them right now 💕.
And right now, I’d better get the wine chilled...
